Police have released CCTV footage of a man wanted in connection to an assault
Police are hunting a queue skipper who threw a tub of butter into a pensioner’s face.
The 74-year-old victim was waiting in a queue when a man pushed in front of her as she waited inside the Co-op store in Eynsham, Oxfordshire.
After she began to argue with the man, he threw a plastic tube of butter which hit her in the lip. She suffered bruising but did not require hospital treatment.
Officers released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the alleged assault.
A spokesman for Oxfordshire Police said: ‘The victim, a 74-year-old woman, was queuing when the offender pushed in front of her in the queue.
‘The victim highlighted to the offender there was a queue, resulting in the offender throwing a tub of butter at her. She sustained swelling and severe bruising to her lip.’
Police constable Sarah Tibble said: ‘I would like to speak to anyone who recognises the man in this image as he might have vital information relating to this incident.
‘If you know this man, or have any information as to his whereabouts, please call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101.’
