Former teacher Andrew Simms appeared in Birmingham Magistrates’ Court this morning accused of sexually touching a girl in a position of trust
A former teacher has appeared in court charged with sexually touching a girl while in a position of trust.
Andrew Simms appeared at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning.
Simms, of Coleshill, Birmingham is accused of touching the girl who cannot be named for legal reasons inappropriately in a sexual manner.
The 40-year-old former teacher has pleaded not guilty to the charge, which relates to between June 28 and July 2, 2017.
The case was sent to Birmingham Crown Court for a hearing next month.
He was given conditional bail not to contact the girl or witnesses.
He was also told he must not have any unsupervised contact with children.
